Travertino Noce travertine is a calcium carbonate based stone that was formed in an ancient hot springs. Sometimes referred to as travertine marble or travertine limestone, travertine is actually unique. During the formation of travertine, numerous voids are created and these pits and cavities are what give Travertino Noce travertine its interesting appearance. As a cladding stone, travertine is porous and will allow water to flow through the voids in the stone. StonePly strengthens the travertine panel and prevents moisture from passing through the wall. Light weight and strong, the StonePly panel greatly simplifies travertine installation. Travertino Noce travertine may be filled or unfilled (the voids in the travertine may be filled or left open).
Travertino Noce travertine was formed in an ancient warm spring. Calcium carbonate from the mineral water crystallized and formed the beautiful and distinctive Travertino Noce travertine. Pure calcium carbonate crystals are white and the coloration in the travertine comes from other minerals. Travertino Noce travertine is porous with numerous voids. This pitting is what gives travertine its beauty and interesting appearance. When used as a cladding, water can quickly pass through the voids in solid travertine. With StonePly, the aluminum forms a solid barrier to water as well as serving to strengthen the travertine face of the panel. Travertino Noce travertine may be specified as filled or unfilled. With filled travertine the voids are filled with a special grout.
